From a Creative Vision to Cannes, Two International Nominations for My Debut Album
Nine days. Fourteen songs. Two Cannes nominations.
When I released my debut album, After the Vows: Love, No Love, worldwide on October 16, 2026, I hoped the music would find its way to people who could recognize a piece of their own lives in its stories.
Nine days later, I received news I hadn't imagined arriving quite so soon.Â

Both the album and one of its defining songs, What Did We Trade It For?, have been named official nominees in the October 2026 Online Edition of the World AI Music Festival in Cannes, France.
The nominations are in two distinct categories:
Â
Best AI Concept Album — After the Vows: Love, No Love
Best AI Song — What Did We Trade It For?Â

For my debut project, having both the complete body of work and an individual song recognized internationally is a meaningful milestone.
Fourteen Songs. One Emotional Journey.
After the Vows: Love, No Love was conceived as more than a collection of individual tracks.
It is a connected musical narrative about what happens when a relationship that once promised forever comes to an end — and how the consequences reach beyond the two people involved.
Across fourteen songs, the album explores broken promises, family bonds, friendship, parenthood, faith, emotional resilience, and the difficult possibility of beginning again.
Although the album follows a particular emotional journey, the experiences behind it are far from unique.
Heartbreak is universal. So is the desire to be understood, the need for human connection, and the hope that life can still offer something meaningful after an unexpected ending.
My ambition was to create music that could speak to those experiences without assigning blame or limiting the story to one perspective.
Why What Did We Trade It For? Matters
Among the fourteen tracks, What Did We Trade It For? holds a particularly important place in the album's narrative.
It asks a difficult question: When something that took years to build falls apart, what was gained — and what was lost along the way?
The song looks beyond the immediate heartbreak to the memories, relationships, family ties, and unanswered questions left behind.

Its nomination for Best AI Song is especially meaningful because it recognizes an individual chapter of a much larger story.
Meanwhile, the Best AI Concept Album nomination acknowledges the album as a connected creative work — something that was central to my vision from the beginning.

One of the most exciting aspects of this journey is the opportunity to explore how human creativity and artificial intelligence can work together in music production.
As the album's Concept Creator, Creative Director, and Music Producer, I developed its overarching concept, narrative direction, emotional themes, and creative identity.
AI-assisted music production tools helped translate those ideas into finished musical expressions.
For me, technology is not the story. It is a means of bringing the story to life.
The imagination, emotional intent, artistic decisions, and responsibility for the creative direction remain human-led.
That philosophy is captured in the words that have become central to my work:

I believe the future of creative expression offers room for new methods, new voices, and new possibilities — while still respecting the emotional connection that makes music meaningful.
What Happens Next?
Both nominations are part of the festival's October 2026 monthly competition.
The next stage is the announcement of the monthly winners. Until those results are confirmed, I am celebrating these nominations for what they are: two encouraging recognitions for a debut project.
Whatever the outcome, this moment has given me another reason to keep creating, experimenting, and telling stories through music.
A Note of Gratitude:
To everyone who has listened, shared the album, offered encouragement, or connected with one of its songs — thank you.
Music takes on a different meaning when it reaches someone else.
And if even one song helps a listener feel understood, less alone, or a little more hopeful, then the creative journey has already achieved something worthwhile.
The Cannes nominations are an exciting milestone. But the larger purpose remains the same: creating music with emotional meaning and sharing it with people across cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.
Fourteen tracks. One emotional journey. Two Cannes nominations. And a story that continues.
