Some milestones are planned. Others arrive as moments that make you stop, reflect, and appreciate how far an idea can travel.
Today is one of those moments.
I am delighted to share that my debut album, After the Vows: Love, No Love, and its signature song, What Did We Trade It For, have both been officially named Finalists at the World AI Music Festival in Cannes, France.
Two separate submissions. Two finalist recognitions. One creative journey.
What makes this particularly meaningful is that the recognition comes just three days after the album's worldwide release on October 16, 2026.
A Story Beyond Music
After the Vows: Love, No Love is a 14-track musical narrative exploring the emotional consequences of relationships that change, promises that break, and lives that must somehow find their way forward.
It is about love, loss, family, friendship, parenthood, faith, and the courage to begin again.

Although inspired by deeply human experiences, the album was developed with a broader purpose: to create music that listeners from different backgrounds and walks of life could connect with through their own experiences.
At its heart is a simple belief: while circumstances may differ, human emotions often speak a universal language.
Why “What Did We Trade It For” Matters
Among the album's 14 tracks, What Did We Trade It For holds a particularly meaningful place.
Rather than focusing only on the end of a relationship, the song explores what happens to the world built around it: familiar rooms, shared memories, family routines, and the quiet emotional consequences of change.
Its central question invites reflection rather than assigning blame.
For me, this represents the essence of meaningful storytelling through music: creating space for listeners to discover their own stories within a song.
Seeing this individual composition recognized alongside the complete album makes the moment especially rewarding.
Human Imagined. AI Amplified.™
My approach to music production begins with human imagination, emotion, and creative direction.
Artificial intelligence introduces new possibilities for transforming those ideas into musical expression. But technology, however advanced, is only part of the process.

The vision, narrative, emotional intent, creative decisions, and responsibility for the finished work remain central to my role as a concept creator, creative director, and music producer.
This philosophy is captured in the words that define my creative identity:
Human Imagined. AI Amplified.™
For me, AI-assisted music is not simply about what technology can generate. It is about what people can imagine, shape, refine, and ultimately communicate through it.
From a Worldwide Release to International Recognition
The World AI Music Festival in Cannes celebrates music created with artificial intelligence and brings together creative work from international participants.
Both After the Vows: Love, No Love and What Did We Trade It For previously received Official Selection recognition and have now advanced to Finalist status in the festival's monthly competition.
The festival has also publicly featured both entries in its finalist announcements, representing Asad Imam from the United States.
The next stages of the competition are still ahead, but reaching this milestone is already an encouraging acknowledgment of the creative work behind the project.
A Beginning, Not a Destination
As a first-time music creator and producer, I see this recognition as both a moment of gratitude and motivation.
The journey from an initial concept to a completed 14-track album required imagination, experimentation, countless creative decisions, and a willingness to explore a rapidly evolving form of artistic expression.
If this project encourages even one listener to reflect, find comfort, or feel less alone in their experiences, it will have achieved something meaningful beyond recognition.
My sincere appreciation goes to the World AI Music Festival for this honor and to everyone who has listened, encouraged, and supported this creative journey.
The album is now available worldwide across major music streaming platforms.
And this story is only beginning.
